Professional Development Fellowship
Building the next generation of arts leaders.
The LunART Professional Development Fellowship provides emerging professionals interested in careers in the arts, nonprofit, creative, communications, and related fields with meaningful, hands-on experience, mentorship, professional development, and opportunities to contribute to the work of a growing national arts organization.
Applications for the next fellowship cohort will be announced when opportunities become available.

"LunART lit a fire in me. Meeting cohorts of women composers gave me the confidence to leap off the deep end and study composition—the thing I truly wanted to do. This internship didn’t just teach me marketing and organization; it showed me how to be resilient and unstoppable in paving a way for women in the arts."
~ Emma Bijelic, 2022-2024
Empowering the Next Generation of Arts Professionals
At LunART, we believe that creating a more equitable arts world also means investing in the people who will shape its future.
Our Professional Development Fellowship gives emerging professionals the opportunity to learn by doing—working alongside the LunART team on real projects while developing practical skills, professional confidence, and a deeper understanding of how an arts nonprofit operates.
Whether their interests are in communications, marketing, design, development, programming, operations, or another area of the arts, fellows gain experience that can help them take the next step in their careers.

LunART gave me an invaluable sense of community. Meeting and interviewing inspiring women artists, learning the behind-the-scenes work of running a festival, and receiving mentorship from an incredible leader like Iva have all been transformative. This internship showed me the joy and impact of working in an organization dedicated to uplifting marginalized voices in the arts."
~ Keeley Brooks, 2023-2024
What Is the Fellowship?
The LunART Professional Development Fellowship is a hands-on professional development program for emerging arts professionals.
Fellows work closely with the LunART team, contribute to organizational projects, participate in team meetings, and gain exposure to the many facets of running a contemporary arts nonprofit.
The fellowship is designed around three principles:
LEARN
Develop practical skills through real-world experience.
CONTRIBURE
Make meaningful contributions to LunART's programs, audiences, and mission.
GROW
Build the confidence, connections, and professional experience needed for the next stage of your career.

Being a part of LunART was an incredible opportunity. I worked with LunART for two years, and throughout my time with the organization, I saw so much growth. Helping put a spotlight on women in the arts was extremely fulfilling, and I am beyond proud of this nonprofit!
~ Ava Wojnowski, 2022-2024
