Application period for 2024 Composers Hub

About Composers Hub

The LunART’s Composers Hub is an annual educational program designed to provide extraordinary experiences to women-identifying composers in their growing professional careers. This program, taking place during our Annual Music Festival, gives six composers the opportunity to receive mentorship from an established composer, hone their composition, and see it performed at the festival.

Private lessons and masterclasses with the composer-in-residence, and workshops with Festival musicians will explore the works submitted by participants, while talks and lectures about collaboration and the role of the independent composer will offer participants a well-rounded approach to their own career development.

In order to offer personalized attention for the participants, no more than six composers will be chosen for the workshop.

What is included?

  • 2 masterclasses with the composer-in-residence.

  • Private composition session with the composer-in-residence during the festival.

  • 2 lectures with guest speakers delving into the topics of copyrights, finances for artists, grant writing, marketing, etc.

  • A live performance of the submitted piece at the Composers Hub Concert.

  • Professional audio and 4 camera angle video recording of the performance of your work on the Composers Hub Concert.

  • Rehearsal and workshop with LunART Festival musicians.

  • Admission to all Festival events.

What past participants say about the program!

Lauren Conklin

LunART Festival was an incredible experience and I can't say enough how grateful I am to have been a part of it! Everyone involved was a joy to be around and I am so glad to be able to carry the friendships and connections made there back out into the world. It was so inspiring to be surrounded by so much talent and to be able to learn from the other composers, musicians, and panelists throughout the week. I came home feeling energized and excited to write again!!
