Where women's voices come together!
A Story That Began in 2018
The story of LunART Choir began with LunART’s very first season in 2018, when conductor and longtime LunART collaborator Kathleen Otterson was inspired by LunART’s mission to create ARTemis, an all-women’s choir. Though originally formed as a separate ensemble, ARTemis embodied LunART’s spirit of amplifying women’s voices through choral music and quickly became a cherished part of the annual LunART Festival.
The connection grew stronger with every season. ARTemis singers became some of LunART’s most passionate advocates, and audiences embraced the choir as an important part of the festival experience.
When Kathy stepped down, we saw an opportunity not simply to continue what she had started, but to carry her vision forward in a new way. In response to the community's enthusiasm and the strength of this shared artistic vision, LunART formally established its own treble choir in Fall 2025.
Today, LunART Choir carries forward the spirit of ARTemis while becoming something uniquely its own: a home for women’s voices, a champion for new and overlooked music, and an integral part of LunART’s growing artistic community.

As a choral leader, I’m passionate about building choirs that not only sound extraordinary but also feel like home, where music is lived through connection, laughter, and shared purpose. I’m guided by curiosity and a deep belief in the arts as a force for healing and transformation. With that spirit, I envision the LunART Choir as a space for engaging musical experiences and nurturing hearts.
