LunART Festival 2022 - DAY 5
Hear Us Out!
Gala Concert
Saturday, June 4
< BACK
About the event:
After two seasons of virtual programming, we couldn’t be more excited to present our season again in person, in full festival flair.
True to LunART form, this thrilling program will showcase a tapestry of diverse chamber works for winds, strings, and piano, including two world premieres and one US premiere.
Enjoy new music by Composer-in-Residence Stacy Garrop and the winners of our Call for Scores program: Yuting Tan (Singapore), Nicole Murphy (Australia), and Ula Goldstein (United States). A focal point of the program will be Piano Quintet in A minor by Florence Price, who was the first African-American woman to have a piece performed by a major U.S. symphony orchestra.
