Friday, June 2

220602-LunArt-Festival-0317.JPG

About the event:

True to LunART form, this thrilling program will showcase a tapestry of diverse chamber works for winds, strings, piano, voice and percussion, including world and US premieres.

Enjoy music by 2023 Composer-in-Residence Dorothy Chang, a world premiere of a commissioned piece by Edna Alejandra Longoria, ARTemis Women's Choir, and the winners of our 2023 Call for Scores competition: Midori Larsen (Japan), Ana Leira Carnero (Argentina) & Jiyoun Chung (Korea). Our own ARTemis Women's Choir will perform works by Elizabeth Alexander and Linda Tutas Haugen, as well as a world premiere by Sherri Hansen. Suite en trio, Op. 59  for flute, violin and piano, by French composer Melanie Bonis, will honor the historical legacy of women artists.
