About the event

Join us for an extraordinary evening showcasing the cutting edge of chamber music, featuring award-winning compositions, world premieres, and a newly commissioned work. The program highlights the Call for Scores 2026 winners, Leah Reid’s Crossed Wires for viola, percussion, and electronics, and Rain (Yurui) Hou’s Manhattan Suite for flute and piano.

We are thrilled to present our Composer in Residence, Libby Larsen, with Barn Dances for flute, clarinet, and piano, alongside the premiere of a commissioned work, Crane Cycles by Lawren Brianna Ware Boggs, scored for flute, violin, cello, clarinet, horn, and marimba. Additional highlights include Harriet Steinke’s marimba solo Door in the Mountain, Louis Harriet-Viardot’s Spanish Quartet for violin, cello, viola, and piano, and the world premiere of Chanda Dancy’s January on Altadena Drive for horn and fixed media.
