Brief Personal Introduction < 1 min

In one minute or less, share a little bit about yourself:

  • Say your name - first and last.

  • What are your passions? (they don't have to be music-related!)

  • Why are you interested in the LunART Choir?

  • Anything else you'd like us to know about you!

Vocalise

Submit 1 recording that includes both scales. Sing each scale on the vowel [ɑ] (as in father). Play only the starting pitch on an instrument.

Soprano 1

  • Ascending one-octave major scale beginning on B4 (third line Treble clef)

  • Descending one-octave major scale beginning on C5 (third space Treble clef)

Soprano 2

  • Ascending one-octave major scale beginning on G4 (second line Treble clef)

  • Descending one-octave major scale beginning on Bb4 (third space Treble clef)

Alto 1

  • Ascending one-octave major scale beginning on Eb4 (first line Treble clef)

  • Descending one-octave major scale beginning on G4 (second line Treble clef)

Alto 2

  • Ascending one-octave major scale beginning on D4 (D above middle C)

  • Descending one-octave major scale beginning on F4 (first space Treble clef)

Prepared Solo

Sing unaccompanied ~30 seconds of a song of your choice that demonstrates tone quality and musicality required of a choral singer. Play only the starting pitch on an instrument. Even if the piece is traditionally accompanied, please sing your excerpt a cappella.

Choral Excerpts

  • Submit 1 recording with both excerpts.

  • Tap or count off 3 beats before starting the first excerpt and go directly to the second excerpt.

  • Play only the starting pitch on an instrument.
